NBC’s upcoming Line of Fire has something immediately familiar about it: a family working in law enforcement. Sound a little like Blue Bloods? The similarities are there—but the approach appears very different.

In Episode 125 of The Silly Nerdy & Wordy Podcast, I break down what caught my attention in the Line of Fire trailer, including its Secret Service, FBI, U.S. Marshals and DOJ family dynamic, the darker conflicts developing between its characters, and how its federal Washington, D.C. setting could distinguish it from the New York-centered world of Blue Bloods.

I also discuss Peter Krause’s new role and his return to NBC after Parenthood and following his time as Bobby Nash on 9-1-1.

Plus, I’m starting something new with this episode: giving shout-outs to viewers and listeners from across the U.S. and around the world. 🌎
