Most graphic designers spend their careers trying to be easy to work with. Be agreeable, collaborative, client pleasing. And NEVER rock the boat.

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that being a "good designer" meant saying yes, avoiding conflict, and making everyone happy.

But is that what clients actually value.

In this episode of The Angry Designer Podcast, we're flipping one of the biggest myths in graphic design on its head. Because the designers who consistently earn trust, command respect, and get the best projects aren't the ones who quietly take orders. They're the ones willing to ask hard questions, challenge bad ideas, defend the work, and put the outcome ahead of their own ego.

In this episode, you'll discover:

• Why the best graphic designers are often misunderstood as being "difficult."
• The difference between ego, confidence, and uncompromising standards.
• Why clients respect designers who push back instead of simply saying yes.
• How to challenge ideas without becoming impossible to work with.

Being a difficult designer isn't about being arrogant.

It's about caring enough to challenge assumptions, protect the work, and fight for a better result.

If you've ever been called stubborn, opinionated, or "hard to work with," this episode might just change the way you see your greatest strength.
