Federal agents executed search warrants tied to Rep. Ilhan Omar and her relatives in an immigration fraud investigation. Barack Obama answered with a public statement calling the probe political targeting. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers walk through the record Obama left out.

Questions about Omar's immigration history date to 2016. Minnesota attorney Scott Johnson of Power Line documented a 2002 Islamic marriage, a 2009 legal marriage, and a divorce Omar never filed before her third marriage. The Star Tribune chased the story and dropped it. The current probe turns on Omar's age when her father became a citizen. At 17, she would have received status with him. At 18, she would have needed to apply on her own.

Then Peter and Eric play audio of Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan saying she wants young people to think twice before working for the Trump administration because of the legal problems they would face. You hear the deterrence message in her own words. The episode traces lawfare from the war on terror to Donald Trump, follows the line from a 2022 New York Times report on Joe Biden to the Alvin Bragg indictment, and looks at what a Democratic House means for investigations after January.
