Dead North

Dead North is a massive, mile-long immersive haunt in Danville, Vermont, that transforms cornfields and outbuildings into a landscape of psychotic clowns and serial killers. Unlike professional attractions, this production relies entirely on local residents—including real estate agents, bus drivers, and town road crews—who volunteer to terrorize their own neighbors and families. Key contributors include a retired state police officer who formerly investigated homicides and now designs "toxic dump" sets, and a local logger who operates chainsaws alongside his children. This community-driven event serves as a unique seasonal getaway for residents, allowing them to channel their professional skills into elaborate scares. The experience blends the natural eeriness of the Vermont moonlight with meticulously crafted environments like a "psychotic circus" and a haunted western saloon, creating a source of local pride rooted in the shared thrill of being scared.
