The EADV meeting showcased several emerging therapeutic advancements in dermatology, focusing on novel mechanisms for complex conditions. Intralesional BO112, a double-stranded RNA nanoparticle, demonstrated potential in treating basal cell carcinoma by stimulating innate immune responses. For hidradenitis suppurativa, the anti-TL1A antibody Tulisicobart showed promising efficacy in Phase II trials, while the JAK1/TYK2 inhibitor Brepocitinib yielded significant improvements in cutaneous sarcoidosis. The comparative study between the TYK2 inhibitors Zasocitinib and Deucravacitinib highlighted superior PASI 100 response rates for the former in plaque psoriasis treatment. Additionally, the anti-ILT7 antibody Daxedilumab offered a new approach for discoid lupus erythematosus by depleting plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and Bempicobart provided a potential, albeit complex, alternative for alopecia areata. These developments reflect a shifting landscape toward targeted molecular therapies and intralesional interventions for chronic dermatological diseases.
