Heavyweight, hosted by Jonathan Goldstein, investigates unresolved personal histories and "unfinished business" from people's pasts. The series features a detective-style approach to resolving long-standing mysteries, such as a sudden end to a friendship, the fate of a surrendered pet, or unanswered questions spanning decades. Key narratives in the new season include a woman named Jade investigating her late grandmother’s claim of being the inspiration for the song "Me and Mrs. Jones," a foster child seeking the truth behind a failed adoption promise, and a man who successfully lied his way into a professional baseball career. By arranging reunions and facilitating difficult conversations, the program explores the emotional weight of the past and the transformative power of finally obtaining answers to life's lingering questions.
