Connect 250

Connect 250, a collaborative project between StoryCorps and Morning Edition, marks America’s 250th anniversary by pairing strangers for virtual interviews to create a national time capsule. This initiative generated nearly 3,000 conversations, capturing diverse perspectives on American identity, societal challenges, and hopes for the future. Participants shared intimate reflections on life, loss, and personal milestones, demonstrating how meaningful human connection can transcend geographic and cultural boundaries. By facilitating these deep, 40-minute exchanges, the project highlights the power of vulnerability and shared experience in an era of perceived division. These recordings serve as a living archive of contemporary American life, preserving individual voices and stories that might otherwise be forgotten.
