Zibby Owens and Rabbi Fersko discuss her long-standing mission to address anti-Semitism, a cause she fervently pursued following an attack on her synagogue during the Black Lives Matter protests. She explains how subtle negative comments or micro-aggressions can signal or lead to more obvious and open forms of anti-Semitism. The conversation also looks at the recent increase in attacks against the Jewish culture worldwide. Rabbi Fersko suggests three ways to respond: leaving unfriendly places, fighting anti-Semitism directly, or the unacceptable choice of doing nothing. She emphasizes the crucial support of non-Jewish friends in this struggle, encouraging them to show support and take action.
