Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!

I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…

Matthew: Hi Dr. Cabral-I just listened to your podcasts on the Berberine and cancer studies. Thank you for bringing it to us. I was curious if the same results could be seen with Dihydro berberine. I saw the chemical formula in the study was berberine hydrochloride which I believe is the same as the Berberine+ product. Does it make a difference? Do you have an opinion on Dihydro berberine? I am assuming you believe that hydrochloride is superior since it is used in Berberine+. Thank you

Selena: Is it good to followe a Lectin Avoidance Diet?

Anonymous: Good day Dr.Cabral, enjoy regularly watching your weekend "ask cabral". A family member of mine is doing immunotherapy for their HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma). Wondering how to deal with immune-related side effects, so far they are tolerating it but they said potential side-effects such as overactive immune system attacking organs is a concern. Please advise so we can prepare. Also what kind of supplements do you recommend if this was someone important to you. His A1c IS 5.4, Lipids good. but Liver enzymes are higher. I know you mentioned berberine, any others? Green tea? Thanks

Anonymous: Hi Dr.Cabral, me again. Follow up to add to my previous question. Alternative to calm an over-active immune system instead of steroids (predinsone etc). I know the gut microbiome plays an important role. I watched a podcast by a well-known doctor saying that higher levels of Akkermansia Muncipallis help during immunotherapy and other treatment modalities. How can I increase akkermansia, can I just take a single strain probiotic of it? Worried consuming too much pomegrante juice (high in sugar) might not be ideal. Can't wait till your course for this topic is released. You mentioned working on a cancer-based course. Thank you always. You're a light in this space (longevity, wellness).

Jennifer: What is the chemical reason that antidepressants cause weight gain?
