The current global landscape is defined by a dangerous "pre-war" mentality that rejects diplomacy in favor of escalating tensions. While recent summits between major powers like the United States and China are dismissed for lacking concrete outcomes, these meetings remain essential for preventing catastrophic conflict. Europe, in particular, faces an incomparably disadvantaged position, lacking both a coherent strategy for peace and the resources to sustain a lengthy war. Furthermore, the push for reindustrialization through military Keynesianism serves as a deceptive "storytelling device" rather than a viable economic solution. This strategy fails to address the fundamental need for broad-based innovation and long-term planning, instead masking a lack of vision with ineffective defense spending. Ultimately, the West’s reliance on outdated political narratives and the neglect of diplomatic channels risk plunging the region into a preventable and devastating conflict.
