Who Funds That? EP10: The Experts Weigh in on Fixing Higher Ed

Higher education in America faces a crisis of ideological indoctrination, administrative bloat, and skyrocketing costs, necessitating external intervention rather than internal reform. Federal subsidies, as described by the Bennett Hypothesis, have incentivized tuition hikes while universities increasingly prioritize progressive agendas over traditional academic rigor. DEI initiatives function as the bureaucratic application of critical race theory, often undermining free speech and fostering antisemitism. To restore the mission of preparing productive citizens, donors must shift from legacy giving to funding new, independent institutions or specialized centers of study that emphasize Western intellectual traditions.
