When Verena Thelen moved back home to Germany feeling physically depleted and emotionally drained, she had no idea that a chiropractic office would be the place she’d begin reclaiming her life. In this honest and soulful conversation, Verena shares how leaving an unfulfilling life abroad—and stepping into nervous system healing—radically changed her energy, her mindset, and her sense of purpose.

With Jenna, she reflects on the power of inner alignment, the weight of unprocessed stress, and how simple nervous system shifts can awaken long-dormant joy. From nervous system exhaustion to singing breakthroughs, Verena’s story is a grounded reminder that true healing starts from the inside out.

Study on Humming & Vagal Activation: Trivedi et al. (2023) conducted a pilot study comparing heart rate variability (HRV) during humming, physical activity, emotional stress, and sleep in 23 participants. They found that humming produced the lowest stress index, significantly higher HRV measures, and reduced heart rate—even outperforming sleep in some metrics—indicating robust parasympathetic (vagal) activation. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10182780/?utm_source=chatgpt.com
