Unlike human employees, AI agents lack inherent accountability, requiring new oversight mechanisms and "trip wires" to replace traditional organizational hierarchies. While AI promises increased productivity, historical trends suggest this leverage may manifest as reduced work hours rather than exponential GDP growth. Current market volatility has unfairly penalized established SaaS providers, whose long-term value remains rooted in trust and deep customer relationships. Moving forward, the industry will likely shift away from rigid vertical integration toward a flexible, modular architecture where models and product harnesses are decoupled, allowing organizations to mix and match capabilities to optimize for specific tasks, costs, and precision.
