The High Schools Going All-In on AI

Estonia is conducting a national "AI Leap" experiment, providing high school students with specialized ChatGPT accounts to navigate the impact of generative AI on education. By implementing a "Socratic chatbot" that guides students with questions rather than providing direct answers, the program aims to preserve critical thinking and process-based learning. Despite these efforts, many students remain skeptical, viewing the tool as an annoying obstacle or a potential source of "brain rot" that encourages academic laziness.
