意思是：如果某事物上有个 question mark，

就表示它不确定；question mark 也可以指前途或成败未知的人或事。

这个表达与标点符号问号有关。问号本身就表示疑问、不确定，后来逐渐引申为“未知数、不确定因素”。在新闻、体育、职场等语境中，常用来表示某个计划、球员、项目或人的前景还不明朗。
