SEC threatens to expel LSU over “pro players” controversy. Is conference unity at risk, and how does it impact college basketball?

Andy Patton breaks down the intense standoff between LSU and the SEC after the conference threatened to kick out a founding member over alleged rules violations involving former NFL and NBA players like RJ Luis. The conversation highlights Lane Kiffin’s pushback, parallel cases at Alabama, and the legal chaos sparked by the evolving NCAA transfer and eligibility landscape.

Spotlights on under-the-radar "up transfers" also heat up: Christian Hammond joins NC State, Ryan Beasley bolsters Washington, and Gavin Sykes lands at TCU, while South Carolina, Butler, and San Diego State add impact scorers from the mid-major ranks. Which of these transfers is poised to make an immediate splash—and can LSU weather the SEC’s power play?
