Routine latent tuberculosis testing for patients starting IL-17 or IL-23 inhibitors is largely unnecessary, as clinical and preclinical data show no significant reactivation risk compared to TNF inhibitors. While nicotinamide is frequently recommended for skin cancer chemoprevention, recent evidence suggests its efficacy is not definitively proven, warranting a cautious approach. Topical corticosteroid use correlates with an increased risk of gastrointestinal complications, especially when combined with NSAIDs or systemic steroids. Furthermore, the BTK inhibitor remibrutinib provides a durable, safe treatment option for chronic spontaneous urticaria, while early data on TYK2 inhibitors indicate significant efficacy for atopic dermatitis, contradicting prior theoretical assumptions. These findings highlight the need for evidence-based de-escalation of routine laboratory monitoring and a critical re-evaluation of established clinical practices in dermatology.
