Elon Musk's xAI claims Grok 4 is the "world's best AI model." 🤖 We put this heavyweight contender through a real-world coding gauntlet inside n8n to see if the hype is real.

We’ll talk about:

A deep dive and hands-on review of using xAI's Grok 4 model for development and automation tasks within n8n.
The surprising results of our coding tests: Grok 4 is revolutionary for adding complex features to existing code but fails spectacularly at creative design from scratch.
Why the most reliable way to use Grok 4 in n8n is through the OpenRouter API, which solves integration quirks found in the direct xAI connection.
The "Ultimate Assistant" workflow, where Grok 4 flawlessly orchestrates four different tools to perform a complex research and email task.
Plus, a look at Grok 4's impressive benchmark scores in math and science, and a breakdown of the real-world costs (~12 cents per complex run).
