Lanterns just introduced a legendary DC villain — Chanel, Brandon & Sharmane recap "Trust Fall" and that jaw-dropping Sinestro reveal. 🟢

Welcome back to We Was Watching, the podcast where Chanel, Brandon & Sharmane break down the shows everyone's talking about. This week we're recapping Lanterns Season 1 Episode 2, "Trust Fall" — the HBO Max episode that widens the DCU and drops a huge reveal.

We get into ALL of it: Hal (Kyle Chandler) and John's (Aaron Pierre) rocky flight training and John's first construct, the trip to Coast City to retrieve the Lantern battery (and feed Hal's plant, Earl), and John's capture by aliens hunting a shapeshifting Manhunter hiding in Rushville — one they can't detect because of William Macon's tech. We break down the growing "trust no one" theme, Hal's suspicions about the town, and that final scene: Hal suiting up, flying to a Guardian prison in space, and coming face to face with Sinestro. What does Sinestro know about the Manhunters — and why does he warn Hal that John Stewart may be his greatest threat? So… did John kill Hal Jordan? Full spoiler-filled review, breakdown, and ending explained.
