THE SCIENCE OF ACTION & SACRIFICE | Session 9 | Bhagavad Gita Course | Dr. Shubha Vilas
Shubha Vilas
Mastering transcendental action, or *Akarma*, provides a pathway to liberation from the binding cycle of *Karma* and *Vikarma*. By shifting the motive of action from personal sense gratification to the pleasure of the Supreme Lord, individuals can burn away past karmic reactions through the fire of transcendental knowledge. This process involves various forms of *Yajna*, or sacrifice, ultimately culminating in *Bhakti-maya Yajna*, where all activities are offered at the lotus feet of the Divine. Approaching a spiritual master with humility and submissive inquiry is essential for gaining this clarity and sharpening one's resolve. Integrating *Smaranam*—the constant remembrance of the Divine—into daily professional routines allows for spiritual growth, transforming mundane tasks into opportunities for service and helping practitioners remain grounded as outliers in a materialistic world.
