Onchain FX Is the Missing Piece for Stablecoins

Institutional adoption of stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) is transforming financial infrastructure by prioritizing measurable cost savings over speculative consumer use cases. Businesses are increasingly leveraging stablecoins for internal treasury management, cross-border settlements, and liquidity optimization, effectively bypassing the inefficiencies of legacy banking rails. The integration of tokenized securities, such as those piloted by the DTCC, allows for real-time collateral management, suggesting a future where stablecoins function primarily as a liquid medium of exchange while capital at rest is held in tokenized instruments. Although agentic payments remain in an early, experimental phase, their potential to automate accounts payable and receivable offers a clear path toward significant operational efficiency.
