Jeff Vanderstelt - Rhythms: Equipping Ordinary People for Everday Gospel Intentionality
VergeNetwork
Missional communities function as the primary vehicle for discipleship by reorienting daily life around gospel-centered rhythms. Effective ministry requires moving beyond Sunday gatherings toward a model where every believer is equipped to make disciples within their specific spheres of influence. By adopting six core rhythms—story-formed, listening, celebrating, blessing, eating, and recreating—communities create a "foretaste" of the Kingdom that makes the gospel visible to non-believers. This approach emphasizes that all resources, time, and relationships belong to God, necessitating a radical shift in how believers share their lives and finances. Through intentional, life-on-life engagement, communities can transform local cultures, address real-world needs, and provide a compelling, gospel-fluent witness that demands an explanation from the surrounding world.
