We then explored their #expansion strategy, including products like #GlobalFizz, which extends the social experience even after graduation.

With Fizz ads generating a 3%-18% #CTR, we dove into what drives that success - from working closely with #brands students love like Perplexity, Quizlet and Sony, to carefully crafting #ads that add value without inundating the feed.

Another interesting point was their operational #discipline: keeping the majority of their $25M #SeriesB still in the #bank, running a lean team of ~30 employees, and spending very little on #marketing.

Lastly, we discussed their decision to #relocate from SF to #NYC, where it’s easier to build a startup today? how user #behavior has changed over the last five years? and their latest product addition - #FizzMarketplace.
