Harvard University’s financial relationship with Jeffrey Epstein remains obscured by institutional silence and incomplete internal investigations. Despite the university's 2020 self-report on Epstein’s donations, evidence reveals the existence of the "Jeffrey E. Epstein Fund for Women’s Athletics," a 2004 contribution specifically earmarked for the women's rugby team. Former Harvard President Larry Summers acted as the primary facilitator for this and other donations, maintaining a close personal relationship with Epstein that included travel on his private plane and a honeymoon visit to his island. While Harvard’s fundraising database contains extensive records of these interactions, the university’s official accountability report omitted these details, effectively shielding leadership from scrutiny. This investigation, conducted alongside Harvard Crimson editor Dhruv Patel, highlights the systemic efforts to protect institutional reputation at the expense of transparency regarding Epstein’s influence on campus.
