Husbands are called to love their wives with the same unconditional, sacrificial devotion that Christ demonstrates toward the Church. This commitment requires men to die to their own agendas and prioritize their wives' well-being over personal desires or hobbies. Because marriage is a supernatural institution, husbands must move beyond viewing love as a fleeting feeling and instead treat it as a divine commandment. Neglecting this responsibility leads to emotional distance, often represented by a wife "building a wall" of resentment over time. Instead, men should actively invest in their marriages by maintaining "precious thoughts" toward their spouses, filling their "love buckets" daily, and leading with kindness and compassion. Ultimately, a husband’s primary duty is to reflect the sacrificial nature of Christ, ensuring the marriage remains a healthy, growing partnership rather than a collection of roommates.
