Human civilization operates on a fundamental, brutal logic of sacrifice, where each new order emerges by consuming the previous one. From the ritualistic heart-extraction in Mayan culture to the colonial imposition of European systems and modern corporate exploitation, progress consistently demands a victim. This cycle is often disguised as "enlightenment" or "benevolence," where the powerful justify their dominance as a mission to save the "uncivilized." However, this moral framing is merely a sophisticated anesthetic that masks the underlying violence. We are all complicit in this globalized system, benefiting from the exploitation of others while maintaining a veneer of empathy. Ultimately, the human condition is defined by the irreconcilable tension between our moral aspirations and our participation in this relentless, sacrificial machine, leaving us isolated in a state of perpetual, existential loneliness.
