Surrendering personal weaknesses to God transforms them into platforms for divine power, as illustrated by Paul’s "thorn in the flesh" in 2 Corinthians 12. Rather than hiding struggles—such as perfectionism, insecurity, or lack of patience—acknowledging these vulnerabilities allows for a deeper reliance on Christ. These weaknesses function as temptations to trust self-sufficiency over divine provision. Moving toward wholeness requires a four-fold approach: recognizing and naming the struggle, actively seeking God’s grace instead of settling for current limitations, sharing burdens within a supportive community, and rejecting the coddling of sinful habits. By bringing these issues to the cross, individuals shift their identity from their failures to their strength in Christ, ultimately finding that divine grace is sufficient to sustain them through any hardship.
