This session provides a comprehensive review of private and public nuisance, alongside an introduction to occupier's liability, to prepare students for their upcoming assignment and final examinations. Private nuisance centers on unreasonable interference with the use and enjoyment of land, requiring plaintiffs to hold a legal interest in the property. In contrast, public nuisance covers a broader range of activities—such as highway obstructions or falling objects—that endanger public health, safety, or comfort, and does not require a legal interest in land to sue. Occupier's liability, governed by the Occupier's Liability Ordinance, imposes a common duty of care on those controlling premises to ensure visitor safety. Effective examination technique requires identifying legal issues through precise definitions, applying principles to case facts, and citing relevant authorities like *Sturgis v Bridgman* or *Nettleship v Weston* to support legal arguments.
