Parloa triples its valuation in 8 months; plus, robotics software maker Skild AI hits $14B valuation
TechCrunch Startup News
Berlin-based AI startup Parloa recently secured $350 million in Series D funding, propelling its valuation to $3 billion as it competes to automate global customer service. Led by General Catalyst, this capital injection aims to scale Parloa’s multi-modal AI agents, which are designed to provide personalized, contextual support across phone, web, and app interfaces for enterprise clients like Allianz and Booking.com. The company faces stiff competition from rivals such as Sierra and Decagon in a massive market targeting 17 million contact center roles worldwide. Simultaneously, Skild AI has reached a $14 billion valuation following a $1.4 billion Series C round led by SoftBank and Nvidia. Skild AI focuses on developing general-purpose robotic foundation models that allow machines to learn tasks through observation rather than intensive manual programming, addressing a primary hurdle in the widespread industrial and personal adoption of humanoid robotics.
