“Diamond in the rough” 可不是 “粗糙的钻石” 的意思！

字面直译好像是 “粗糙的钻石”。

但实际它是个形容人或事物潜力价值的地道口语表达！

If someone or something is a diamond in the rough, it means they have great potential, talent or value, but they lack polish, refinement or proper development.

如果说一个人或一件事物是 “diamond in the rough”，意思是 TA / 它本身极具潜力、天赋或价值，只是还没经过打磨、雕琢，外表看起来可能并不起眼。
