In this episode of the DeviceTalks Weekly podcast, we give the entire stage to Medtronic’s surgical robotics business in honor of the FDA’s approving the Hugo RAS system for urological procedures.

This episode is sponsored by Confluent Medical Technologies. Visit http://confluentmedical.com/ for more information.

First, MassDevice editor Chris Newmarker asks James Porter, MD, a practicing surgeon and CMO of Medtronic’s surgical business, why he sees as a better alternative for hospitals and surgeons.

Then, Host Tom Salemi visits with Rajit Kamal, the VP of the company’s surgical robotics building to learn what’s next. How will the company take on the massive incumbent, Intuitive.

We’ll also visit with Gayle Grimes, author of MassDevice’s Medtech Market Intelligence Report on surgical robotics. Go here to learn more. https://www.massdevice.com/product/robotic-surgery/
