Rebecca Lindland says that an Allison Worldwide survey shows the share of people who want to buy a car this year has risen to 20%, a mark of consumer confidence even during trade volatility. 71% of those surveyed said they were likely to buy an American vehicle, and 9% think vehicle prices will go up. She talks about trends in consumers choosing electric vehicles, saying “people don’t have confidence yet in the infrastructure.”
