高考特别节目-五年之后的你，将在何处？

前几天有个小伙伴发消息跟我说：

卡卡老师，马上我就要高考了，可以收到你的祝福吗？

Ta还把高考的时间安排表发给我。

这让我马上回想起自己高考时候的样子，

我对他当下的心情真的是感同身受。

我是这样回复他的：加油，高考只是人生的起点，

不是人生的终点，尽自己最大的努力拼搏就好！

这个消息回复完之后，我想，一定要为他再送上一期节目，

也要送给所有马上高考的人。

今天特意挑选了一个类似于励志演讲的谈话，

主题是一个人如何在五年之内实现自己梦想。

其实高考结束，人生才真正开始，

在大学不会有父母的陪伴，老师们也不会十分严格，所以一切全凭自觉。

那接下来我们学习这段励志的英文谈话。

condition /kənˈdɪʃən/n. 条件；状况

figure out /ˈfɪɡjər aʊt/phrasal verb. 弄清楚；解决

relationship /rɪˈleɪʃnʃɪp/n. 关系（如人际关系）

career /kəˈrɪr/n. 职业；事业

satisfy /ˈsætɪsfaɪ/v. 满足；使满意

edge /edʒ/n. 边缘；临界点

conceivability /kənˌsiːvəˈbɪləti/n. 可想象性；可能性

kick /kɪk/n.刺激（非正式）

You can have what you want in five years, but there's two conditions.

五年后你可以拥有你想要的东西，但有两个条件。

You have to know what it is and you have to aim at it.

你得清楚自己想要什么，还要明确目标。

Figure out what you want, write it down,

figure out what you could do to start moving towards that.

想清楚你想要什么，把它写下来，再想想你能做些什么来开始朝着那个方向前进。

Okay, do that with your family relationships, do that with your friendships,

do that with your career.

好的，用这种方法对待家庭关系，对待友谊，对待事业。

If I could have what I wanted, what would satisfy me,

and you might think, well, I could never get that.

如果我能得到我想要的，什么能让我满足呢？

你可能会想，唉，我永远得不到那个。

And I could say, well, maybe not. But I'll tell you one thing, man, you can move towards it.

我会说，嗯，也许确实得不到。但伙计，我告诉你一件事，你可以朝着它前进。

Almost all the pleasure is in the moving toward if you set up a goal that just on the edge of conceivability, then every time you move even a tiny bit towards that, you're gonna think, good work, man, good work.

几乎所有的快乐都在于前进的过程中。如果你设定一个看似可及却又稍显遥远的目标，那么每当你朝着它哪怕挪动一小步，你都会想，干得好，伙计，干得好。

You get a little kick from that. You get a little stronger from that.

你会从中获得一点成就感，也会从中变得更强大一点。
