The Power of Ghostwriting with Laura Gale: Crafting Legacy Through Words

In a recent episode of The Thoughtful Entrepreneur, we had the pleasure of hosting Laura Gale, the mastermind behind Laura Is Writing. With years of experience as a ghostwriter, editor, and author coach, Laura has made a name for herself helping entrepreneurs transform their stories into powerful business assets.

From Publishing to Ghostwriting: Laura’s Journey

Laura’s path to ghostwriting began in traditional publishing. After earning her degree in writing and publishing, she landed a role in publicity at a publishing house. The rise of Amazon and eBooks in 2011 disrupted the industry, prompting her to pivot toward content marketing and eventually ghostwriting. Her first ghostwriting project was a success, sparking a fulfilling career helping entrepreneurs share their stories.

Why Entrepreneurs Need a Book

Laura works exclusively with entrepreneurs, focusing on memoir-style books that convey meaningful lessons and leave a legacy. While she acknowledges that most business books won’t generate significant revenue from sales alone, the return on investment often comes in the form of new clients, speaking engagements, and heightened authority in one’s field. As she puts it, “A book becomes a pre-qualifier for high-value leads, making sales conversations smoother and more effective.”

The Ghostwriting Process: A Partnership

Ghostwriting is an intimate process. For Laura, it’s a chance to learn from accomplished entrepreneurs and refine her craft. For her clients, it’s an opportunity to reflect deeply on their journey. Many entrepreneurs find it challenging but rewarding to share their struggles and triumphs. Laura’s goal is to make the experience safe, comfortable, and inspiring.
