Regulators are increasingly scrutinizing reserve management and consumer protections, though the long-term potential of stablecoins remains tied to their ability to provide transactional autonomy and programmability. Unlike proposed Central Bank Digital Currencies, which may lack the privacy and decentralized nature users demand, private stablecoins continue to evolve as a vital, composable substrate for global financial services and developer ecosystems.
