Shawn and Helena Bonneteau have played a helping hand in transforming over 2000 relationships through their coaching services and podcast. Both Shawn and Helena struggled with an addiction to porn and masturbation and by the grace of God are now celebrating over 5 years of freedom individually and as a couple. Shawn is a certified Inner Child Recovery Specialist and together, they are certified sexual addiction mentors and certified Husband Material coaches.

In today's interview, Shawn, Helena & Sathiya discuss: -How Shawn quit p*rn on his 25th birthday -Helena's own struggle with porn problem and abusive relationships (which were influenced by porn) -Shawn totally botching the disclosure process -Something felt off when they started having sex in their marriage -Everything blew up in one big conversation when they were both finally honest with each other about their struggles -How journaling rescued Shawn's recovery -Helena's journey through betrayal trauma with a close friend -Why they both watched porn: Distance (emotionally & physically) from parents; porn was a 'soother' and provided worth/feeling of desired -Women are not expecting perfection, but they are expecting honesty, otherwise they feel disrespected -At 3 year mark into Shawn's recovery is when Helena had a day where there were no triggers -Why intimate knowledge of one another is necessary to build trust -Recovery can become an idol — don't get caught up into just "doing the stuff", make sure you're actually applying the work
