In this episode, Adam Omiecinski is joined by Jamie Smith to share his journey of rethinking traditional strength and conditioning practices, motivated by his observations as a father. He discusses the importance of focusing on movement, autonomy, and embracing failure, particularly when working with youth athletes. Jamie emphasizes creating 'safe uncertainty' in training environments and shares his innovative approaches to warm-ups and strength training. He also highlights the significance of developing social skills and adaptability in young athletes, aiming to mold 'awesome human beings' rather than just great athletes.
