Deuterium is a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen that has an extra neutron in its nucleus, making it twice as heavy as ordinary hydrogen, thus where it got its name of heavy water. Studies suggest that reducing deuterium levels in the body can have positive effects on various biological processes, such as improved cellular function, enhanced energy production, increased support of the immune system, and potential anti-aging properties.
