I share the moment I realised the nerves before speaking were not a glitch, they were part of the deal. In fact, if I didn’t feel that edge, I probably wouldn’t even want the thing. Same as boxing. Your body flipping into fight or flight is not weakness, it’s your system going, righto, we’re on.

We talk about fear as a sensation, not a stop sign. Self-doubt as a very loud passenger, not the driver. Discomfort as the entry fee for growth, not a sign you’re doing it wrong. And then there’s identity lag, that hilarious time delay where you’re doing the thing externally but internally you still think you’re the newbie who wandered in by accident.

Basically, this is a permission slip to stop waiting for confidence to arrive before you move. It’s probably not coming. But you can still go anyway.
