BitMine is executing an aggressive treasury strategy to acquire 5% of the total Ethereum supply, positioning itself as the primary institutional vehicle for the asset. This strategy leverages the projected $4 trillion stablecoin market, which serves as a massive demand driver for Ethereum’s smart contract infrastructure. By operating as a crypto infrastructure business, BitMine increases Ethereum holdings per share through staking yields and capital market transactions, mirroring the historical valuation model of ExxonMobil’s proven reserves. Within just 18 days of closing a $250 million private placement, the company scaled its holdings to $2.7 billion in Ethereum and cash, achieving a net asset value of $23 per share. This rapid expansion significantly outpaces the early growth trajectory of MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin strategy. Future objectives include establishing a fully compliant, U.S.-based validator network to secure the blockchain while actively participating in the Ethereum ecosystem.
