While platforms like Facebook and MySpace originated as tools for personal connection, the rise of AI-generated content—such as surreal, digitally altered imagery—has blurred the lines between human and machine creation. This evolution, coupled with the transformation of platforms like Twitter into hubs for intense political discourse, has shattered the illusion of the internet as a purely recreational space.
