In this monologue, Shahid Bolsen discusses what he describes as the West's historical and ongoing "spiritual extraction" and colonization of other cultures' beliefs, traditions, and metaphysical concepts. He argues that Western powers, driven by a superiority complex and a desire to fill an existential void, have systematically appropriated and distorted Eastern and other non-Western spiritual practices for their own ideological and materialistic ends. Bolsen critiques movements like Theosophy and figures like Blavatsky and Crowley, viewing them as manifestations of this spiritual imperialism. He contrasts this with Islam, which he asserts has resisted such co-option due to its unbroken creed, scripture, and metaphysical structure, and he suggests that this resistance is why Islam is often demonized in the West. He concludes by arguing that the West's interfaith narrative is a form of religious relativism used to negate the value of distinct religions, particularly Islam, and to maintain their delusions of supremacy.
