WELCOME TO SEASON 2 of MIDDAY MOVIES

Today we’re discussing prestige television series, “The White Lotus” (season 3, 2025). Created, written, and directed by the incomparable Mike White, “White Lotus” is on its third season, with its third collection of luxury vacationers, who have more than a third of life-shattering drama. Taking place in the Thailand White Lotus Hotel (a composite of the Four Seasons and other hotels), we are introduced to a North Carolina family on the brink of legal chaos (Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola), a trio of school friends whose lives are successful but still riven with girlhood insecurities (Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon), and a mismatched age-gap couple that puts the fun in dysfunctional (Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins). Also on staff is a literal K-Pop star (Lalisa Manobal from BLACKPINK). Unforgettable characters, monologues, and locales are the cornerstones of all “White Lotus” seasons, but Season 3 puts even prior ones to shame. Let’s get into it!
