Starring Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini, and based on a Robert Harris novel of the same name, “Conclave” is a political thriller that takes viewers inside the secret, sacred world of pope elections. After the death of a beloved pope, cardinals from all over the world fly into the Vatican to be sequestered and elect a new leader of the Catholic Church. There are secrets and intrigue and a bucket of mysteries surrounding the papal candidates — and we get a window into one of the most ancient religious events still in existence today. It’s gorgeous and fascinating — let’s get into it!
