Meaning: An organism that eats other animals for food

Sentence 1: The piraña is a carnivorous fish found in the Amazon River.

Sentence 3: Humans are not considered carnivores because they eat plants and other animals.

Predator
Meaning: Living by seizing or taking prey; a person that ruthlessly exploits others

Sentence 1: When swimming in the ocean, many are afraid because sharks are natural predators in them.
Sentence 2: In business, he behaves in a predacious manner and is willing to do anything to make money.
Sentence 3: The lion is a predator for the gazelle.

Meaning: If a person is used to something a particular way, it is difficult for them to change.
