Notepad & Paint Are AI NOW

Microsoft has introduced AI enhancements to its classic Notepad and Paint apps in Windows 11. Notepad now includes a feature called "Rewrite," which uses AI to help users rephrase and edit text, offering different options for tone and length. Meanwhile, Paint has added "Generative Fill" and "Generative Erase," enabling users to effortlessly add or remove elements from images with AI assistance. Currently, these features are being rolled out to Windows Insiders and select Microsoft 365 subscribers. This move reflects Microsoft's goal to make AI more accessible by embedding it into everyday tools, effectively merging basic and advanced software capabilities. Additionally, Notepad has received performance improvements.
