The Food and Drug Administration and Church Brothers LLC have recalled green onions due to salmonella contamination. This bacterium can cause serious and sometimes fatal gastrointestinal and systemic infections in young children, elderly persons, and others with weakened immune systems.

These onions were sold across the US in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia as well as in Canada under the brands Trader Joe’s, Church Brothers, and Imperial Fresh.
