S3E3 - Midas and the Golden Touch

Season 12 of "Greeking Out," available on YouTube and YouTube Kids, presents original adaptations of Greek myths. This episode narrates the story of King Midas, who is obsessed with gold. He receives a wish from Dionysus to turn everything he touches into gold, which initially delights him but soon becomes a curse when he can't eat or drink, and he accidentally turns his daughter into a golden statue. After realizing his mistake, Midas asks Dionysus to reverse the wish, and he learns the importance of things other than gold. The story continues with Midas judging a musical duel unfairly and Apollo punishes him by giving him donkey ears, which he initially hides but eventually embraces.
